Sunday 24th April - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

Overall it was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night barring Cheeky Milandos who will be spoken to accordingly, and Slide Into Your CDM's who have now been removed from the league due to their unreliability.

There was defeat for the top two this week as The Allies suffered a surprise 5-2 defeat against Yerrr, whilst second placed Exeter Gently were beaten 4-0- by third placed Borussia Teeth.  Jack's Army secured their Premier Division status this week with two games to spare as they edged past Up The Tics by 2 goals to 1.

No Cup FC's incredible Division One campaign continues as they ran out convinving 5-0 winners over Extra Special Ones, whilst The Purples FC's promotion was finally confirmed as they were 5-0 winners this week.  Dixy Pigeons moved up to third place and leapfrogged Egg Fried Reus who they beat by a single goal.  Misfits rounded off the action with an 8-2 thrashing of Rainbow Sparkles.
