Sunday 2nd September - Nuneaton Round-Up

It was a superb end to the season in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league with all teams in attendance as scheduled, apart from Xavi Dodgers who will be spoken to accordingly to confirm their return for the new season.

Congratulations to 'Exeter Gently' and 'Extra Special Ones' who finished the season as champions of their respective divisions quite comfortably.  

Well done to 'Deportivo LF' who secured Runners-Up spot in the Premier Division on goal difference!  This after a resounding 6-1 win over Dixy Pigeons.  Their nearest rivals Cheeky Milandos could only manage a 2-1 win over Jacks Army, meaning there were 8 goals in it in the end.

Special mention goes to 'Three Lions' in Division One who joined half way through the season but managed to pick up a near perfect 14 out of a possible 15 points!  This secured them a second placed finish and it will be interesting to see what they bring to the Premier Division next season.

All teams will be contacted by Head Office with kick off details for their first match, the new season gets underway on Sunday 9th September.
