Sunday 17th March - Nuneaton Round-Up

It was another good evening of 6 a side football in Nuneaton on Sunday which saw all teams in attendance at The Academy as scheduled.

There was a change at the top of the Premier Division again this week as Inter YN won 3-0 over Misfits, whilst Jack's Army were beaten 1-0 by Cheeky Milandos, a result which sees them slip to second.  All is set up for a cracking end to the season, and what is now a must win for Jack's Army as the two meet next week in the final game of the season.

Dark Fruit FC confirmed what we've known for a few weeks now as they sealed the title in Division One, scuppering Real Sosobads promotion hopes in the process who they beat 2-1.  This result combined with TBDB FC winning 7-1 over Egg Fried Reus sees them leapfrog Sosobad into second spot with a game remaining.  In order to gain promotion, Sosobad will need a win against Dixy Pigeons in the final game of the season, and hope that TBDB do not beat Dark Fruit.  Madeleine Milan have a very slim chance of promotion though after their 2-0 win over Dixy Pigeons, however, they would need both of the above to lose and a win themselves to get into the top league.
