Sunday 23rd January - Nuneaton Academy End of Season

It was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their scheduled games and the league winners eventually decided in two very competitive divisions!

It was an incredibly tight end to the season in the Premier Division, with the winners determined by goal difference alone!  Just three goals separating the Winners and Runners-Up!  Congratulations to 3 Lions who eventually took the title following their 2-0 victory over Cheeky Milandos.  Exeter Gently gave it a good go but unfortunately a 4-1 victory over Hardly Athletic was not enough for them to better Runners-Up this campaign.

Yerrr only needed a point to confirm their title win, and they got just that as they were held to a goalless draw by Extra Special Ones.  Borussia Teeth took the second promotion place as they ran out 6-4 winners against Rainbow Sparkles in a thriller.  The Purples dropped out of the top two on the final day after suffered a surprising and heavy 9-2 reverse at the hands of No Cup FC.
