Monday 10th May - Walsall Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Walsall Monday 6 a side league this week.  We were pleased to see all teams in attendance for their games apart from The Tangs who unfortunately failed to attend and also failed to notify us of this.  They will be spoken to regarding their continuation from Monday 17th May, but we reiterate that even if you only find out on the day that you cannot play, it is only fair you contact us so that we can ensure something is in place for your oppopnents.

Expected Toulouse moved joint top with Ruud Van Nipplejoy as they ran out 5-0 winners against The Fantastic Claw.  Rude won a nine goal thriller over Stroke Titty, 5-4 the final score in an end to end match.  Another classic encounter saw Botty Dem pick up their first points of the campaign, with a 6-4 victory over Soccer Cleats.

New team RIP Stinky Pete joined the league this week and took over top spot.  They will need to improve on this weeks performance though if they wish to stay there, they suffered a 6-2 humbling at the hands of Environmental Health.  Balotellitubbies shared the spoils in a 10 goal thriller against Vegas Degenerates in a game that ended 5-5, a result which moves Balotellitubbies into second spot.  You Blaaaady FC were 4-3 winners over Budgie Neck in another entertaining evening, a result which sees the latter slip to third in the table.

Shelly Boppers perfect start to the campaign in Division Two continued, they continue to lead the way after their 5-2 victory over Only Fools and Donkeys, as both went into this tie neck and neck.  Cesc On The Beach moved further from the bottom of the table after a 4-1 win over Shelfield Wednesday.  Elsewhere Fat and Furious moved up to fourth place with a 4-0 win against Chungz Army.  There were also single goal victories for Tea and Busquets and Exeter Gently who defeated Neuer Gonna Give You Up and Croft VI respectively.

We thank all teams for their continued reliability and commitment towards the league, which is ensuring everything runs as smoothly as possible for all involved.

We wish all teams the best of luck heading into game week 7 with Walsall's premier provider of small sided football.
