Monday 20th June - Walsall Oak Park Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Walsall Monday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night as scheduled and some excellent games played across all three divisions.

After a ten year stay in the league Expected Toulouse have withdrawn from the league due to a shortage in numbers.  We thank them for their time playing and hope to see them return again in future!

On a positive note, we are delighted to welcome new team Phoenix Legends to the Premier Division as their replacement and wish these the best of luck going into their first fixture on Monday 27th June as they face Euro Anchor FC.

Budgie Neck and Pickles Army are neck and neck at the top of the Premier Division as both got their fourth wins on the bounce this week.  Budgie Neck beat the outgoing Expected Toulouse by a 5-2 margin whilst Pickles Army won a pulsating encounter against The Warts by 5 goals to 4.  Pique Blinders were in scintillating form in front of goal as they thrashed Suarez Ate My Hamster by an 18-5 scoreline.  There was another goal fest as Blakenall On Tour were 13-4 winners over Euro Anchor FC.  Edwards Allstars completed the action as they were 7-3 winners over Hakuna Juan Mata.

Stroke Titty's fourth win on the bounce came this week as they were 6-1 winners over Gangsters Allardyce, whilst second placed Fat and Furious have only been beaten by the leaders on the opening day, they got their third win on the bounce this week to stay two points off the top, they were handsome 6-2 winners over Last Chance.  Dijk In Dias also got their third win out of 4 after a 6-1 victory over RGP.  Vegas Degenerates moved into fourth position as they were 3-1 victors against Shelfield Wednesday, whilst it ended all square between Hong Kong Vesey and Bag of Chips in a game that finished 2 a piece.

Ball of Duty don't do things by halves as there have been an incredible 55 goals in their four games this season already!  There were 24 alone this week as they won a thrilling encounter against Croft VI 17-7!  They lead the way in Division Two on goal difference ahead of The Balotellitubbies who sit in second after a 5-3 victory against Exeter Gently.  Third placed Beercelona also sit level with the leaders as the third of a trio of teams on six points, they were 5-2 winners this week over Ji Sung Chen.  Undateable and Tea and Busquets moved up a place to fourth and fifth as Undateable were 5-1 winners against Inter Ya Nanny and Tea and Busquets edged past Gunner Beat You 3-2.

We look forward to seeing all teams in attendance for game week 5 with Walsall's premier providers of small sided football!
