Thursday 28th February - Walsall Round-Up

It was a fantastic evening of 6 a side football in Walsall on Thursday which saw all teams in attendance across both divisions which was pleasing to see.

There was a shock result in the Premier Division as top of the table Rude Van Nipplejoy breezed past Dynamo Red Bellies 6-0 in what had been billed as a close encounter, a result which means RVN now need just one more point to seal the title.

Third placed Puyol Pants Down were 3-0 victors in their game against Lights Kamara Action and are now two points off Red Bellies with the two meeting next week.  The other two Premier Division games were thrillers with Stroke City climbing out of the bottom two at the expense of AFC Bagheads who they beat 5-3 this week.  Bokoty ran out 5-2 winners against Pelsall who suffered their second defeat in their last 3.

Congratulations to Welch Wanderers who confirmed promotion from Division One this week, and did so in style with an emphatic 8-0 victory against FC Winners7, one more point will seal the title for them after second placed Anonymous FC were beaten 2-1 by Six Offenders in a shock result.  The top two meet next week in what promises to be a mouth watering tie.

Xavi Dodgers moved into third place, just a point off second as they leapfrogged Moleicester City who they beat 3-2.  Lallanas In Pyjamas were in unforgiving form in front of goal as they beat fellow mid table team Blackcountry Lads 6-1 to complete the action.

Best of luck to all teams going into next weeks matches with Walsall's premier small sided football provider.
