Swan Lake move a step closer to another 6 a side title

The weather eased slightly yesterday as the teams took to the pitch for another round of 6 a side matches at Portchester Monday with all to play for in both divisions.

At the top of the Premier League Swan Lake moved a step closer to winning another 6 a side title at Portchester as they defeated Stinging Rogers 6-2 to move 3 points clear. Moving up into second spot are Line Up Lads who defeated HMS St Albans 3-0 to set up a must win match next week with Swan Lake to take it down to the wire. There was also a narrow 2-1 win for AFC Baldham over Just Laid In Bed Yourself? XX while Total Messi beat Borussia Donmund 5-2. Donmund looking forward to life in Div 1, credit to the lads for keeping going this season, should put them in good shape for next season.

In Div 1 the race for the title  and promotion is closer than ever as the top 5 are separated by just 2 points. Still at the top are Chocolate Ba's and Corn Eto's however they are now only 1 point ahead of Haven't Got a Kalou who beat them 7-4 on the night. We then have 3 teams all a further point behind Kalou. Two of them faced each other as Fareham Town Vets played a cracking match with Victor Moses Lawn to win 4-3 while Flat Top VI beat Paula United 2-1. Finally the last match in the division was a 1-1 draw between What Happened? and The Abiding Rabbits.

Thank you to all teams and see you next week.
