Pique Blinders win 6 a side clash of the top 2 with Sergio

All teams were in attendance at our Portchester Thursday night 6 a side league which on a whole was a great evening with lots of good football. We did have a incident in one match which resulted in a punch being thrown. This sort of behaviour is not tolerated by Leisure Leagues and as a result the offending player is now banned from the league.

Onto the football and there was a top of the table clash with Sergio Gameos Lee aiming to make it 11 wins in a row however Pique Blinders had other ideas and put in a solid and impressive performance to take the points in a 2-1 victory. Although Sergio are still nailed on favourites to lift the title with a 4 point cushion, it was good to see another side challenge their dominance of the league. In other matches in the Prem Bayer Neverlusen took the points in a entertaining encounter with Saxon FC to win 4-2. VFL KET moved out of the bottom two with a 3-0 victory over For Evra Young while Happy Sunflowers beat AFC Baldy 5-0.

In Div 1 Moleicester City had a good evening and continue to lead the table after a 6-0 win over Foxes Forest FC. In second place just a couple of points behind are Portchy Panthers who defeated Pants 4-2 in a game that could of gone either way. Haven't Got a Kalou are still in with a chance of promotion after a 3-1 win over Jimmy Floyd Bottle Bank which leaves them 2 points adrift of Pantherz. PPS got back to winning ways this week with a 3-1 victory over Liam Howard FC who's chance of promotion now look slim with PPS moving above them in the table.

Thank you to all teams and see you next week
