Portchester Thursday Football League Wraps Up with Exciting Final Week

As the curtain falls on yet another remarkable season of the Portchester Thursday Football League, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the champions of each division. Sergio Gameos Lee emerged victorious in the Premier League, BSC Hung Boys claimed the Division 1 title, and Wallington triumphed in Division 2. 

These teams have showcased immense talent, skill, and dedication throughout the season, and their success is well-deserved. 

Individual awards were also confirmed last night with Bailey Steele of Sergio claiming the golden boot for the premier league with 14 goals while Sam Stoddart of Happy Sunflowers concluded his great season on 21 goals to grab the Division One title and Toby Louth proved to be Division Two's top marksman with a solid 18 goals to his name. Well played to all of them and also to Zac Goodyear of BSC Hung Boys who was awarded the league Most Valuable Player for the season thanks to his 3 MotM awards given by the officials for an outstanding performance. 

Rounding off the season were some brilliant games in all three divisions. In the Premier League, AFC Purbrook upset for form guide and  defeated champions Sergio Gameos Lee with an impressive score of 5 - 2. Meanwhile, Skertals and Lads On Toure settled for a hard-fought 2 - 2 draw, while Hallin Garden Services and Project Zeus engaged in an exhilarating goal-fest, with Project Zeus ultimately emerging victorious with a 6 - 4 win.

In Division 1, BSC Hung Boys demonstrated their dominance as they secured a resounding 7 - 3 victory over Pup657. Meanwhile, The Six Offenders and Cob FC engaged in a fiercely contested match that ended in a narrow 5 - 4 win for Cob FC.

Finally, Division 2 witnessed some enthralling encounters, with Cross Keys FC and Pants battling to a thrilling 3 - 3 draw. Likewise, Star & Garter FC and Netsix And Chill failed to be separated as they ended their match with a 2 - 2 draw. Wallington capped off their successful season with a 5 - 3 victory over Maradonakebab.
