Match day 2 results from East Cowes 6 a side

Great to see all 24 teams back at our East Cowes Sunday 6 a side at Queensgate Primary School for match day 2 with both SOTV and FC Union Street back in the fold after missing last week. There were a few showers around but overall not such a bad night with the weather in the end.

There was an upset in the Premier League as Eskimo FC produced a fine performance with goals from Gallop 4, Scott 2 and Crow to beat the reigning champions Netsix & Chill 7-3. Dangerous Dogs and Bacon Sane both had tough matches to contend with this week as Dogs met promoted side Union Street while Sane took on a strong No Shot FC team. While both encounters proved tricky Dogs and Sane both picked up wins. Dogs winning 3-0 against No Shot while Sane defeated Union Street 5-3 with Billy Chugg grabbing a hat-trick for them. The last result to report on in the Prem was Wkd N Bad's 7-3 victory against Bacuna Matata, Wkd back to winning ways after an opening day defeat.

A great start to the season in Div 1 for Applepie Turnovers who made it two wins from two with a 7-3 victory over Sancho's and Cheese to go top. There was a good spread of the goals around the team with Max Hawkins smashing in a hat-trick to add to single strikes from Turner, Macdonald, Galloway and Youngson. Old McInnes also picked up their second win of the season with a tight 4-2 win over AC Me Rollin. Another side with a 100% record still are Vectis Rovers who squeezed past SOTV Zulus 2-1 while Ryde Raconteurs had a barn storming win over Div 2 champions OFOB Strollers 7-1.

Hardly Athletic look determined to fire themselves towards the Div 2 title this season as they proved to strong for HeskeyTime96 beating them 9-2. George Johnson finding the back of the net 4 times for Hardly. Craig Gilliam banged in 3 along with a goal from Simon Knight as Badder Roma got off the mark with a 4-0 win over Haven't Got A Kalou. Muga and Touch Matip also picked up their first wins as Damo Cassford and Jordan Marriott struck for Muga in their win against Boys In Brew while Touch Matip defeated We Lose Every Week 4-2.

Thank you again to all our teams at East Cowes along with our match night supervisor Jukesy and refs Dave, Chris and Calum. Have a great week and see you all on Sunday.
