Monday 4th October - Stafford Round-Up

It was another excellent evening's football in the Stafford Monday 6 a side league this week which once again saw all 20 teams in attendance for their matches and some entertaining football played across both divisions.

Team Green continued their dominant start to the season as they made it 5 wins from 5, they were made to work for the result against VCFC though and ran out 2-1 winners.  FC Chippy continue to keep the pressure on though and sit on 8 points from 10 available, they were 4-2 winners against Croft FC this week.

Division One sees both Rowley Park FC and Girouds Baguette lead the way, both with 5 wins from 5, Rowley were 5-0 winners over Pique Blinders whilst Girouds were 4-1 winners over BTB FC. The two teams go head to head in the next round of fixtures which promises to be a pulsating game.

We welcomed new team Prince Alberts to Division One this week, they put in a respectable performance in their first game with us but were beaten 5-3 by Who Ate All Depays, they will be looking to improve their results as they get to grips with the league in the coming weeks.
