NEW SEASON STARTS at Ryde 6 a side

Great to get a new season underway at Ryde Academy with both divisions full and all but one team there raring to go.

Ryde Rovers hit the ground running against new side High Park FC. Harrison Ward, Louis Strickland and Ryan McGregor each with two while Billy Scott and Conor Hamilton also chipped in to confirm their team as the early leaders in the Premier League with an 8 - 2 win. High Park will bounce back, a good footballing side who just need to adapt to the 6 a side environment which I'm sure won't take long. It's great to have them in the league.

Sat Fesh FC also started with a win, coming out on top 5 - 3 against East Ryde Massive. Sam Higgin and Matt Woolford each with a brace and KJ Warrington rounding off the scoring for Sat Fesh.
There were four hattricks scored in the 15 goal thriller between Netsix & Chill and Goldies. Taylor Brooks getting his season off to a flyer with contributions from Jamie Dyer and Harrison Taylor for the Goldies but three each from George Morgan, Jacob Morley and Cam O'Rourke proving too much as Netsix stormed to a 10 - 5 win. Harry Starling with the other goal for his side.
Also amongst the goals early season was Gaz Scott - Jackson who bagged a hattrick for Vectis Rovers as they overcame Scouting for Goals 4 - 2 to complete the round up in the premier league.
Division One saw Getting On A Bit pick up a 5 - 0 win due to Islands Finest not getting there while Roverners were the highest scorers in the division putting 8 past Cool Runnings, Elliot Lee, Jamie Meakin and Tom Wathen with two each amongst the scorers. Billy Chugg netted all 3 for Cool Runnings but they start the season with defeat.
Interurnan picked up the points in their opening game against Ashton Villa lll in a tight game where just the single Nathan Fisher goal separated the sides.
Finally we saw Chamakh My Pitch Up benefit from an Adam Jupe hattrick as they got the better of Butlins Bandits with a 5 - 2 win, Aaron Doncaster hitting back with two for The Bandits but it wasn't enough to take anything from the game.
So a brilliant first week to this season, thanks you to Jukesy, Callum and Steve for running things on the night and to all the captains for organising their teams so well.
Remember, if you want to be in with a chance of winning the golden boot prize, make sure you get your goal scorers sent over to Jukesy after the game.

We look forward to week 2...
