Ryde Thursday 6 a side results round up!

We take a look at the results from last night's Ryde Thursday 6 a side league at Ryde Academy. August can be a tricky month and we did have three sides away last night with Class On Ash, Butlins Bandits and Going Toulouse not in attendance however all three should be returning for next week.

Geeza's were given a run for their money at the top of the Premier League as Sat Fesh FC pushed them all the way before Geezas secured the points with a 5-3 win and a man of the match performance from captain Joe Love. East Ryde Massive are up to second spot after a points match win due to Butlins being away. There was a welcome win for Roverners who have been going through a sticky patch of form recently picking up a much deserved 5-2 victory against Netsix & Chill. Rob Jackson and Jamie Meakin scoring braces while Terry Crow got himself on the scoresheet too. The other game in the Prem saw Scouting For Goals and Goldies serve up a real cracker which ended in a 6-6 draw. Scouting had three players all with a couple of goals each, namely James Gallop, Dan Bonner and Brad Austin.

Ryde Rovers edge towards the Div 1 title as they picked up a points match win due to Going Toulouse being away, they took on East Ryde Massive in a friendly. Vectis Rovers were amongst the goals again as they defeated Cool Runnings 9-3, Jack Robertson scoring twice while captain Pete Brown netted for Cool Runnings however the victory was sealed by the Vectis goalscorers Sam Utteridge 3, Gaz Scott-Jackson 2, Dean White 2, Tony Pearce and Dan Thompson. Chamakh remain a point outside the top two as they had a points match win due to Class On Ash being being away. Finally Ashton Villa II won their match with Getting On A Bit 6-2, captain Asa Gough capping the win with a man of the match performance.

Thank you to all our teams, hopefully we will be back to a full complement next week. Thanks to Jukesy and Chris for reffing the night and to Adam for helping out with the balls. See you all next week, enjoy the bank holiday weekend. Thanks Rich
