Thursday Night Round up from Ryde 6 a side

It was great to be back amongst it at Ryde for our Thursday night 6 a side and brilliant to welcome new side Salters FC to our league.

They kicked off with a points win as Sat Fesh couldn't get there but elsewhere in the division there was plenty of goals. Ryde Rovers maintained their 100% record to start the new season with a 6 - 2 win over Goldies. Louis Strickland bagging a hattrick for Rovers. Netsix & Chill did net 6 this week, with East Ryde Massive restricted to 3 in reply it was the Chillers that took the points to stay 2nd. Finally in the top flight we saw Vectis Rovers marginally get the better of High Park FC, Sam Utteridge scored two in their 4 - 3 win as they also remain unbeaten and sit 3rd on goal difference.

Into Division One there was a points win for Cool Runnings as Islands Finest didn't show while a Joshua Wotherspoon hattrick wasn't enough for Chamakh My Pitch up to take anything from their game with Getting On A Bit who picked up the points with a 7 - 5 win to lead the table. Interurnan won 4 - 2 against Roverners thanks to a Keaton Clinton hattrick, Terry Crow scoring both the goals for Roverners who find themselves 3rd behind their opponents in 2nd.

Finally it was a good night for Ashton Villa III who kick started their season with a 6 - 3 win over Butlins Bandits, Steven Thorpe amongst the goals with 4.

So that wraps up week 2 and we rapidly head towards week 3, please make sure you communicate your availability to your captain as soon as possible, being organised is key to teams not letting us down late on.

Thanks to Dave, Nick and Chris for their efforts on the whistles, see you all next Thursday...
