Monday 18th October - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was a good start to the new season in the Worcester Monday 6 a side league at Sixways Stadium, with all teams in attendance for their fixtures as scheduled and some entertaining games played across all three divisions.

Woodgreen played their first fixture in the Premier Division following their double promotion from Division Two which they won comfortably last campaign.  They had a tough first game against last season's third place team Phoenix, who they lost out by a 3-1 scoreline to, but were said to have put in a solid performance which they'll look to build on.

Another newly promoted team to the Premier Division, had a humbling start to the campaign after their dominance of Division One last season they were annihilated by Tics on Toure by a 13-3 scoreline!

In Division One there were 2-0 wins to start the campaign for Woo Town Wanderers and Green Army as they brushed aside We Lose Evra Week and Plunger and Superglue respectively, whilst Chateuneuf Du Pape and Inter Ya Nan couldn't be separated as they played out a 1-1 draw.

ItsHayleyBeanie's Boys started the new Division Two campaign off to a flying start with a 10-2 hammering of Werder Beermen whilst General Sports Enthusiasts thrashed Balt-J FC by a 6-0 scoreline.  Elsewhere Goals Aloud edged past Who Ate All Depays 1-0 in a closely contested match.
