Tuesday 26th Februrary - Worcester Round-Up

It was a superb evening of 7 a side football in Worcester on Tuesday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some entertaining matches played across all three divisions.

Timisoara got back to winning ways in the Premier Division as they triumphed over Crouching Woman, 3-0 the final score which puts Timisoara back on top of the table after 3 games.  Meanwhile BBC FC were 4-0 winners over Maradona Kebab as they picked up their first points of the campaign in style, and Wallop were in fine form in front of goal as they thrashed Gangs of Dwight Yorke 6-1 to go above their opponents in the table.

Purge FC won 1-0 against Nutty Marauders to top Division One with a 100% record after three games, a result which was made better for them as Rybrook Seagulls went down 2-1 against Bell FC Reserves and Sex Drugs and Carlton Cole were beaten 3-1 by Droitwich Old Boys.  Bell FC Reserves completed the action with a 2-1 victory over Rybrook Beagles to register their first points of the campaign.

Metre High had another tough week and are still yet to register a point in Division Two and this week were beaten 6-1 by Murder on Zidanes Floor, a team with opposite fortunes as they have a 100% record from their opening three.  1860 Worcester sit in second place following a 4-0 win over Sparks FC whilst Startin S7 were held to a 0-0 draw by Centurions FC and slip to third.  Boi FC completed the action with a 2-0 win in their game against Enville to register their first points of the campaign.

Unfortunately Harry Robbins of Wallop United suffered a broken arm during their game against Gangs of Dwight Yorke.  We wish him a speedy recovery and hope to see him return to the league as quickly as possible.

The above incident meant that whilst we waited for the ambulance to arrive, the game between Hakuna Juan Mata and Woodgreen FC did not go ahead.  This game will be a double header the next time these two teams meet on Tuesday 16th April.

Best of luck to all teams going into the next round of fixtures with Worcester's premier provider of small sided football.
