Tuesday 5th November - Worcester Round-Up

It was another fantastic evening of football in the Worcester Tuesday 7 a side league this week with all teams in attendance for their fixtures and some entertaining matches played across all three divisions.

Droitwich Galacticos stay one step ahead at the top of the Premier Division following their 7-1 thrashing of BBC FC, whilst Hakuna Juan Mata remain hot on their heels as they also won again this week, a hard fought 2-0 win over Gangs of Dwight Yorke their latest result.  Hangover 96 moved up a place and into third on goal difference with a 3-0 win over last seasons champions Crouching Woman, who are battling to stay in the division this time round.  Droitwich Old Boys were unlucky to end with nothing as they were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Woodgreen.

Division One looks like it is going to go down to the wire as Poor Toe FC and Murder on Zidane's Floor keep matching each other blow for blow.  Poor Toe's 1-0 win keeps them at the summit as they have a considerably better goal difference to Murder on Zidane's who stay second following a 4-1 win against Inter Menan.  It looks as though all will be decided when the two meet inn the penultimate game of the season on 26th November.

Startin S7 guaranteed promotion with 4 games to spare with a 3-1 win over ABCDE FC, next challenge for them is winning the title with just 1860 Worcester the nearest challengers, they were 4-3 winners over Purge FC in a thrilling encounter, but remain 3 points from top.
