Bury St Edmunds 6 A Side Round Up

Despite the somewhat sombre mood of the nation this week, our Tuesday night teams all gave their all at our Bury St Edmunds 6 a side league last night. Thank you to all the players and staff for observing a minutes silence in memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II before we kicked off.

We are on the hunt for a few new sides to jump into this league to fill up the Prem and Div One spaces, registration is just £5 at the moment and we can have you playing next Tuesday if you sign up now. Get the lads together, get fit, have a laugh and maybe win a trophy! This is a brilliant league and spaces do go so it's rare to have two available here. Don't miss out, sign up now and play next week!

Our top flight gave us two amazing matches this week, We Love A Bag found some form to make moves on the top of the table with an entertaining 6 - 4 win over Athletic Bilbarrow, Jake, Louis and Bash each netting a couple of goals while Sam's Harrison and Emerson hit back for Athletic but its the former champions that take the points in this one. In an even higher scoring game we saw No Name edge past Rafa Cakes by the barest of margins, winning 8 - 7 thanks to hattricks from Andre and Papi while Chris bagged 4 for Rafa in an incredibly open game. B Team Old Boys enjoyed a points win that see's them sit top of the division after 3 weeks of action.

It's 3 wins out of 3 for Vervegins in Division One now following their 11 - 5 win last night against The Royal Family, Connor Whitehouse in fine goal scoring form netting 7, backed up by 3 for Dylan Elomri while Jordan Gibbs haul of 4 was in vein for his side. MH Rovers bounced back to pick up a 2nd win of the season having lost a tight one last week, a hattrick from Max and 2 from Finn enough to take home the 5 - 2 win against Gangsters Allardyce who's goals were scored by captain Jordan Barber. Slide Into Your CDM's picked up a points win this week to see them just a couple of points behind the leaders.

Paris Ganja Man also remain unbeaten to lead Division Two, they had a fairly comfortable 6 - 1 win last night against Touch Matip, Alex Chapman doing the bulk of the damage with a well taken hattrick while Mourathatplease made a move on 2nd placed Bury Kebab by defeating them 4 - 0 thanks to a hattrick from Dwayne. USAUK remain pointless at the bottom having lost 7 - 4 to Symonds Army despite a good hattrick from Will it was Joe Bentley who stole the show with 5 to give Symonds the points that keeps them in touch with the top sides in the table.

Huge thanks to Tony and his team last night for running the event, hopefully we will be at full tilt again very soon, if you know people keen of a Tuesday night league please get them to get in touch.

Have a good week guys.
