STOURBRIDGE MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 24TH MAY 2022

All the latest news from the Stourbridge 6-a-side Monday league is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

Another great evening of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side League with all teams in attendance as expected.

Unfortunately we did have one disciplinary issue as there was an abusive spectator in the game between 'PS Geezas' and 'SteelYES FC'. Because of what happened on Monday spectator in question that was there to see 'SteelYES FC' has been fined £10 and permanently banned from coming to see the team at the league. Any behaviour that does not show the league in a positive way will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly in order to allow the league to thrive each and every week.

In more positive news, the game of the week in the Premier League saw  'Chip Butty FC' edge out 'Bayern Neverlosen' in an extremely tight game which finished 3-2 and was down to an important brace from Nile Smith which clinched the game. This game was filled with end-to-end football as the two teams traded blow for blow but unfortunately, it was not to be for 'Bayern Neverlosen', however this was an excellent performance against the top of the league side and shows great promise for them going into the final three games of the season. 'Chip Butty FC' stay top with three games to go, can they make it two titles in a row?

The game of the week in Division One was played out as a 3-3 draw between 'Let The Game McGinn' and 'Oaks Ay We' as both teams provided amazing team performances but neither side could break the deadlock. This was an excellent result for 'Let The Game McGinn' as they managed to hold on to a point against top of the league and show they mean business with the new season fast approaching. Two points clear with three games to go, can 'Oaks Ay We' hold on to top spot in Division One?

Division 2's game of the evening was the battle which resulted in a 2-2 deadlock between 'Dynamo Greyhound PFC' against 'Cott Lane Colts' as the teams once again went head to head to gain the two points. The 2-2 result was fair on the night as both teams pushed hard for the victory and puts them in a good place heading into the final weeks of the season. Who will be promoted to Division One come the end of the season?

The team of the evening this week is 'SH Dons' as they were victorious 4-1 against 'Schoolboy Error' with an excellent all round team performance that inevitably blew 'Schoolboy Error' away in the end. Five points off the top two with three games to go may be too much to catch this season but are they the team to beat for the next?
