STOURBRIDGE MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 10TH JANUARY 2022

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side League direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Monday League.

Unfortunately we did have two teams that were not there for there fixture this week. 'Crep City FC' were unable to fulfil their fixture due to a COVID outbreak in the team. The league hope all effected are well and safe and we look forward to seeing the team back next week. 'The Princess' had no correspondence with the league so will be contacted to confirm there return this week. It is paramount that all teams are present for there game each and every week in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible if they are unable able to fulfill there fixture please unsure you contact your Area Manager with plenty of time before the league gets started.

In more positive news we welcomed new team 'Roebuck FC' who played very well in there first game at the league. We wish them all the best moving forward into the second half of the season. 

Premier Division game of the night goes to the game between 'Redz On Stedz' and 'Chip Butty FC'. Two very similar and strong sides going head to head but it was 'Redz On Stedz' who came out 2-1. With this win they have started the second half of the season with a positive result and therefore are looking to steer clear of the relegation zone in the weeks to come.

Division One game of the night involved the new team 'Roebuck FC' and 'Schoolboy Error'. It was a great game of 6-aside football with two teams fighting hard for the win, both teams wanted the win but it was experience that won out in a 1-0 win for 'Schoolboy Error'. With league leaders 'Park Tavern FC' losing for the first time this season 'Schoolboy Error' have closed up to two points off the top with 6 games to go but from this showing the new team will be looking to climb the table also.

The game of the night in Division Two was the game between 'SteelYES! FC' and 'Waggon Wanderers'. A fantastic game that saw some great goals and a 5-1 win for the newest team in the Division 'SteelYES! FC'. Still bottom after joining the league late can they continue to climb the table as the seasons end draws near.

'Dynamo B.C.' are our team of the week. 7-0 winners now means they are top of Division Two on goal difference and really starting to gel as a team. Three teams are locked on 13 points in Division Two, who will come out on top and win the Division this season?
