STOURBRIDGE MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 25TH JULY 2022

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football with some entertaining fixtures played and all teams in attendance as expected.

We kick off the breaking news with action from the Premier League as we had a full set of exciting fixtures to choose our game of the week from. This week we have chosen the fixture between 'BBF United' and 'AFC Vexham' where 'BBF United' came out victorious in a 6-4 win which included end-to-end football which left bystanders glued to the action. Up to fourth and chasing down the top three they go into a game with 'Unprotected Cesc' next week knowing if they win, they will be on the same points as their opponents in the table.

Division One game of the evening was an intense 4-2 victory for 'YourMomsZahore' as they managed to pip 'Dynamo B.C.' to secure the two points and move to within one point of moving out of the bottom two. Two very evenly matched teams that scored six very good goals and ran each other close throughout but it was 'YourMomsZahore' who came out with the win in the end. Next up is a bottom of the table clash as they take on 'Stourbridge Olympic', who will come out on top?

Division Two had an absolutely epic battle between 'We Don't Give a Flying Duck FC' and 'Still Trying FC' where 'Still Trying FC' won 5-4 in a thrilling encounter where neither side could tell who would come out winners. It was a great team effort that was enough to secure the victory in the end, but everyone left the pitch with a smile on their faces. As these two were so evenly matched it will be interesting to see what the result will be when they face off again later in the season.

Team of the week this week is given to 'Call the Cops FC' as they beat their opponents 'Football Club FC' thanks to sensational team performance to come out 4-0 winners in the end. In the top two and chasing down promotion to the Premier League this season it will be interesting if they can keep it up going as the halfway stage of the season draws near.
