We returned to the Stourbridge Monday League with a night full of goals and exciting games. Alongside some largely dominating games from inform sides.

Premier Division-

The Premier Division kicked off with a dominating performance from ‘Wolves Ay We’ as they cruised to a 5-0 victory over ‘Baiteze Crew FC’ this pushes them even further into the lead at the top of the league. The second game resulted in a 5-0 victory for ‘Big Stiff Idiots’ where Ash Stanley was awarded the MVP award. The third game was also a 5-0 victory for ‘Inter Mi’Bathams’ and an MVP for James Street this keeps them in the title race sitting in 3rd place on joint points with 2nd

going into a crunch game against 'Wolves Ay We' next week.  The final game of the Premier Division resulted in a 1-1 draw between ‘Chip Butty FC’ and ‘Crep City FC’ in their midtable clash. A very entertaining game that saw the keeper of 'Crep City FC' pull out some brilliant saves to keep the score the way it was in what was our Premier Division game of the week.

Division One-

Division One included an evening packed full of goals with the first game being the Division One game of the week and resulted in a 5-3 victory for ‘Brenton’ over SH Dons in a defeat which dents ‘SH Dons’ title hopes leaving them currently sitting in 2ndplace on goal difference and pushes 'Brenton' to within four points of them. A great team performance from ‘Brenton’ meaning they have done the double over there opponents. The next game of the evening saw a composed victory for ‘BBF United’ over ‘We Don’t Give A Flying Duck FC’ where Jordan Tranter MVP scored a brace with the final score being 4-1. The next game saw ‘Redz On Stedz’ completely dominate over ‘West Midlands F.C.’ in a 8-0 victory which sees them take advantage of ‘SH Dons’ loss and they now sit top of the table. The final game of Division 1 resulted in a 5-0 win for ‘Bridgnorth Town FC’ to keep there promotion push going with 5 games to go.

Division Two-

We also had some high scoring games in Division Two, the first game of the evening saw ‘Agent Pena’ find form beating ‘Waggon Wanderers’ 5-3 in a exciting game which could have gone either way meaning it was Division Two game of the week and a standout performance from hattrick scorer Lewis Bennett. The second game resulted in a 0-0 stalemate between ‘Bayern Neverlosen’ and ‘This Is Plough We Do It’ where neither team could break the deadlock but both had chances to do so. The third game however only went one way which is the way of ‘Cott Lane Colts’ as they came out 5-0 winners with a great overall team performance. The final game of the Division Two resulted in a solid 3-1 victory for ‘Oaks Ay We’ against ‘Call The Cops FC’, therefore throwing the division wide open going into the final 5 games, 5 teams are now split by 3 points, who will be promoted?

Division Three-

Division Three proved an exciting watch with great games throughout. The evening began with an ipmressive 4-2 victory for ‘Dynamo Greyhound PFC’ over ‘She Was Only XI’. The second game was Division Three game of the week as it was a 10 goal thriller which saw ‘Football Club FC put 6 goals past ‘UMPS XI’ however ‘UMPS XI’ didn’t go down without a fight with them still scoring 4 goals themselves, keeping the pressure on 'Schoolboy Error' in the process. 'Football Club FC' are also our team of the week as they look to keep the pressure up against free scoring 'Park Tavern FC' next week. The third game resulted in a 5-2 win for ‘Schoolboy Error’ over ‘Paris Ganja Man’ which keeps them sitting top going into the final five games. The final game was an absolute thriller with ‘Park Tavern FC’ yet again having their scoring boots on in a game which they won 14-1 over ‘Pique Blinders’ this sees them score 31 goals in just two weeks with Louis Primer scoring 22 of these goals!
