TWO GAMES INTO NEW SEASON IN STOURBRIDGE!

A brilliant night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Monday League. 

Unfortunately we did have one non-attendance as 'That Peter Crouch Team' failed to show for there fixture. The league will be in contact with the team to confirm there return next week. It is paramount that all teams try there hardest to get a team out each and every week and if this is not possible that they notify the area manager in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible. 

On more positive news we welcomed new team 'Cott Lane Colts'. Although not the result they would have hoped they were able to show that they will be competing throughout the season in Division Two. Good luck to the team moving forward!

Game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to the game between 'Inter Mi'Bathams' and 'Neville'. Having played each other twice last season and both being very close games the league was looking on in anticipation to see who would come out on top this time. Due to two fantastic goals by their man of the match in the second half 'Inter Mi'Bathams' were able to bounce back from there result in the first game of the season. 'Neville' will be looking for revenge when they face off again later in the season.

Division One game of the night goes to the game between 'Gary Neville Is A Legend' and 'Nitty Committee FC'. Again some very close games throughout the night and it was fantastic to see the five goals shared in this one but 'Nitty Committee FC' managed to come out on top 3-2. With two points splitting the eight teams in the division after two games its anyones guess who will be the favourites for promotion as the season progresses.

The game of the night in Division Two was the first game of the night between 'Cott Lane Colts' and 'SH Dons'. The new team really did put in a good showing of themselves but it was 'SH Dons' who came away as 6-2 winners and therefore kept there 100% record. With the new division still being in it's infancy stage in will be interesting to see who emerges from the pack as standout performers in the division.

With their performance above team of the week for this week has to be 'SH Dons'. One of three teams that still have there 100% records it will be interesting to see if they can keep this up. Next up is 'Expected Toulouse F.C.' and as they know each other the start of rivalry at the league perhaps?
