GREAT EVENING OF GAMES IN THE STOURBRIDGE SUNDAY LEAGUE

The Stourbridge Sunday league returned this week with a full set of fixtures that were thoroughly enjoyed by all teams involved with some great games.

Premier division-

The first game of the Premier Division kicked off with ‘Pring Ding FC’ against ‘Dusty Yutes’ where ‘Pring Ding FC’ came out 4-1 winners against a good opposition in ‘Dusty Yutes’ who now currently sit second in the league after ‘Pring Ding FC’ knocked them off top spot. The second match was a thriller of a game between ‘Sexy Football’ and ‘I Like That’ where ‘Sexy Football’ just edged their opposition by one goal in a 4-3 victory with two important goals from MVP Edward Sandford in a game which either team could’ve come out winners. The final game in the Premier Division was a big win for ‘Blackhorse United’ against ‘Magni Facio’ and a very good performance from MVP Kyle Winwood who also got a hattrick in the process. Hopefully we can see ‘Magni Facio’ bounce back next week after a difficult defeat this week.

Division 1-

It was also a big night full of good games in Division 1 which started off with an exciting game which resulted in a 2-1 for ‘Moves Like Agger’ against ‘The Beasts Barmy Army’ with an important performance from MVP Freddie Writtle. The second game was also very exciting and played in good spirit as a 4-2 win for ‘Pathetico Madrid’ was the end result. This is not to say that ‘Hoosier Daddy’s’ did not perform well. Both teams put out good team performances. The final game of the Division One was a classy performance from ‘Big Butie Beaches’ who ran the show in a 4-0 win against ‘AFC Audnum’ who unfortunately couldn’t come back from an early goal from ‘Big Butie Beaches’, Adam Bateman's performance also was stand out.

Game of the night- The game of the evening came between ‘Sexy Football’ and ‘I Like That’ where it was an extremely close game which either team could’ve won.

Team of the night- ‘Blackhorse United’ were the team of the night with a great team performance from all players with 4 different goal scorers. We look forward to see how they can push on in the league.
