STOURBRIDGE SUNDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 16TH JANUARY 2022

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Sunday 6-a-side League direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic start to the Stourbridge Sunday League Cup in the Stourbridge Sunday League with all teams in attendance and accounted for on a very competitive first night. 

It was great to welcome 'Waggon Wanderers', 'Oaks Ay We', 'Gangsters Allardyce' and 'Rare FC' for the first time as they are making a guest appearance from the Stourbridge Monday and Tuesday Leagues. They all started well and with two weeks to go until finals week have put themselves in a good position to push to be champions. We also Welcomed 'Dads United' for the first time as they embark on playing in the Sunday League moving forward and will be looking to build a squad fit to challenge. Good luck to all new teams and all teams moving forward.

Game of the night this week goes to the game between 'Hoosier Daddy's' and 'Magni Facio'. All Group A matches were brilliant and with all games being of a good quality it will be interesting to see who comes out on top. This game just pipped it as 'Magni Facio' were able to beat the newly crowned Stourbridge Sunday League champions 4-2 and put themselves in a good position going into week two. As all games were played at a high level it will be interesting to see how the group plays out.

Team of the week are 'Rare FC'. A big win to start the cup shows there intent when it comes to the Cup and will be looking to build on this next week. Are they the team to beat?
