FANTASTIC GAMES THROUGHOUT TUESDAY LEAGUE!

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance and accounted for.

We did also have an incident that happened at the end of the third game of the night on the Division One pitch, in the game between 'Athletic Dildao' and 'Boom Xhaka Laca', an incident broke out following a persistent fouling from 'Athletic Dildao' player Jack Rhodes. The reaction to the challenge led to Calum Collins of 'Boom Xhaka Laca' to punch the player because of this and therefore not allowing the referee to send the player off before doing this. It goes without saying that this type of violent conduct is not welcome at the league and therefore the player has been permanently banned from the league and fined £50 for his actions on the night. Jack Rhodes of 'Athletic Dildao' will also be fined £20 and banned form the league for two weeks due to the persistent bad fouls that he was doing after being warned with a sin bin beforehand. It is important that all teams remain within the rules of the league and it is important to remember that any disciplinary issues will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly. This is now the sixth card given out in the league this season please can all teams remember that they whole concept of a fun, friendly leisure league is that you turn up play and go home ready for work the next day. If any team threatens that with there actions on any given night they will be disciplined in the necessary way and if it continues to be a problem then there position in the league will be taken away from them. The league does not wish to do this but will do if it effects the long term integrity of the league.

On more positive news, game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to the game between 'Stourbridge CC' and 'Pogues FC'. Two very evenly matched sides that played out a very entertaining low scoring affair which experience prevailed as 'Stourbridge CC' ran out 1-0 winners. This result means they climb to 5th in the table two points clear of the relegation zone going into the final three games.

The game of the night in Division One was between 'See you Next Tuesday' and 'Who Ate All Depays'. A very close game that 'See You Next Tuesday' were able to come away with the 3-2 win therefore getting revenge on there opponents for the result earlier in the season. With this win 'See You Next Tuesday' are now up to 5th with 3 games to go and are making real progress as we near the end of the season.

Team of the week has to be 'Is It Half Time Yet?' as they ran out 3-0 winners over league leaders '50 Shades Of O'Shea'. Still the only team to beat them since both teams started in the league and this is the third time they have done, as there position in the Premier Division is starting to look safe they are probably now making the pans for next season to get back up the league reclaim a top two spot. Next up a real boogie team for them last weeks team of the week 'Haven't Got A Kalou'.
