LOTS TO PLAY FOR IN THE STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY LEAGUE

We welcomed back the Stourbridge Tuesday League teams with a night packed full of entertainment and goal-scoring.

Unfortunately we did have one non-attendance as 'Gylfi Pleasures' were unable to fulfill there fixture. They have since been spoken to and have confirmed there return for next week. It is paramount that all teams try there hardest to get a team out each and every week and if are struggling to do so contact the Area Manager to avoid any disappointments on the night.

Premier Division-

The first game of the evening on the Premier Division resulted in a 5-0 win for ‘Stourbridge CC’ as 'Haven't Got A Kalou' handed in the required 7 days notice to cancel a fixture. There were some top performances in this game and as 'Stourbridge CC' cemented there place in third and in the process were team of the week. In the last three weeks them and 'Is It Half Time Yet?' will fight tooth and nail for second place so will it come down to a game against each other in the final game of the season? The second game was also an impressive performance from ‘Gangsters Allardyce’ who beat ‘Real Madras’ 3-0 this pushes them into a more comfortable position in the table it also meant the game was Premier Division game of the evening. The third game was extremely one-sided with ‘Is It Half I Time Yet?’ beating ‘Goals Aloud’ 7-0 and MVP James Thompson scoring all 7  in impressive style. The final game of the evening saw ’50 Shades Of O’Shea’ take the win and in the process be crowned champions of the Premier Division again, well done to them!

Division One-

Division One began with ‘See You Next Tuesday’ gaining a controlled 3-0 win over ‘Who Ate All Depays’ an especially good evening for Liam Willets by scoring a hattrick. This sees ‘See You Next Tuesday’ in 5th but two points off top in a very competitive division. In the second game, neither team could break the deadlock between ‘FC Celta’ and ‘Winlot Rangers’ even though both created good chances and worked hard for the win. The next game was GAME OF THE EVENING IN DIVISION ONE as ‘BH Darlings’ gained a composed 3-1 win over ‘Stourbridge Olympic’ with Cameron Falconer scoring two important goals. The final game was a competent win for ‘Troey’s Rentboys’ and a great performance from George Tromans as MVP as the league leaders came out as 3-1 winners.
