STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 6TH SEPTEMBER

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance and accounted for.

We welcomed new team 'Kford Sporting' to the league who were very impressive in there first game. Welcome to the league and good luck moving forward!

Unfortunately we did have an incident in the game between 'Twinkle Toes' and 'Is It Half Time Yet?'. In an incident during the game Ewan McKay of 'Twinkle Toes' reacted angrily to something he didn't liked and used violent conduct to an opposing play. Because of this he has been fined £20 and banned from the league for two weeks. It is paramount that all situations like this are dealt with quickly and effectively in order for the league to run at the best it can, any other situations that arise in future will be dealt with in the same way each time so please remain within the rules each and every week.

In more positive news, game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to the game between the two newly promoted sides 'The Six Offenders' and 'Gangsters Allardyce'. In a cracking end to end battle it was 'Gangsters Allardyce' who ran out 2-1 winners. Top of the league with a +12 goal difference to start the season are they the ones to watch for the season ahead?

Some brilliant games throughout Division One and lots of goals but it was the game between 'Haven't Got A Kalou' and 'Stourbridge Olympic' who played out the game of the night. In a high tempo game and with 5 goals scored 'Haven't Got A Kalou' were able to run out 4-1 winners in the end and now sit 3rd in the table after week three. They will be looking to build on this as the season progresses and it will be interesting to see if they can keep the run going next week against 'Workplace Products FC'.

Division Two game of the night was the game between 'Yatesy VI' and 'OTR FC'. In an 8-goal thriller it was 'Yatesy VI' who came out on top 5-3 to find themselves 3rd after week three and chasing the top two spaces. Next up is 'Lenton Orient' and with them both being in the top three at this early stage it will be interesting to see how important next weeks game will be for the season ahead.

Team of the week for this week has to be Division One's top team 'Murder On Zidane's Floor'. After another win they are one of two sides yet to drop a point in this Division. That could all change next week when the top two face off in what could be a very interesting game.
