STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 15TH NOVEMBER
All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.
A fantastic night of very entertaining games of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League. Unfortunately, we did have two non-attendances on the night as both 'OTR FC' and 'Innocent Until Proven Gylfi' were not present for their fixtures. Both teams have confirmed there returns for next week after being in contact with them. It is paramount that teams are there for their fixtures each and every week and if not possible contact the Area Manager to ensure the league can run as smoothly as possible each and every week.
In more positive news, game of the evening for the Premier League saw 'Gangster's Allardyce' take on 'Is It Half Time Yet?' in an encounter that saw the final score result in a 4-3 win for 'Gangster's Allardyce' in a very competitive game that saw two good sides go blow for blow for every minute of the game. One point will confirm the runners up spot for 'Gangster's Allardyce' next week when they take on 'Saka Potatoes' so good luck to them! Congratulations to '50 Shades of O'Shea' who are champions of the Tuesday league again with a week to spare because of the result they got on the night!
Division 1 had an excellent set of fixtures which were difficult to choose the game of the week from. However, it was the 3-2 victory for 'Kford Sporting' against 'Hold That FC' which came up trumps as both teams battled away terrifically well and it was played in such a positive manner. This result meant 'Kford Sporting' leapfrogged their opponents into second place in a very competitive league and have their own destiny in their own hands when they take on 'Oaks Ay We' in their final game of the season, can they take the second promotion spot?
In Division 2 we also saw some exciting games to follow suit with the other leagues. Our game of the week was 'FC Resonance's 1-0 win against 'I Only put Matip In' where both teams played excellently however it was a superb team effort that ensured the win. With one week to go 'FC Resonance' can still finish 5th, 6th or 7th in a tight part of the league, who will come out on top? 'RHs Finest' need one point to join 'Lenton Orient' in Division One next season, good luck to them!
'Workplace Products FC' are our team of the week as they put in an impressive display against already champions 'Murder on Zidane's Floor'. In a very tight Division One other teams have been able to pip them to the top spaces this season so will be looking to finish higher next season. Good luck to them and all teams in the final week of the season!
