STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 1ST NOVEMBER

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of very entertaining games of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League.

Unfortunately, we did have two teams not present for their fixtures on the night as 'Vai FC' and 'Oaks Ay We' were not present for their fixtures. Both will be contacted in the coming days to confirm their returns next week. It is paramount all teams are present for their fixture each and every week in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible, if there are any problems then please be sure to contact your Area Manager in plenty of time.

In more positive news we welcomed two new teams as 'Saka Potatoes' and the returning 'Stourbridge Olympic' played each other in their first games. In a very competitive affair, it was the returning 'Stourbridge Olympic' who ran out winners in the end. Welcome to league and good luck to both moving forward!

The game of the evening in the Premier League was a tight game between 'Rare FC' and 'Gangster's Allardyce' as a great comeback saw 11 goals and fantastically competitive football throughout. Up at half time and playing very well 'Rare FC' had to play out of their skin to first level and take the 6-5 win to dent their opponents title hopes. 'Rare FC' go into a game with new team 'Saka Potatoes' next week looking to settle the team down for another title push next season.

Division One also had plenty of exciting games, however the game that caught the eye has to be the top of the table clash between 'Murder on Zidane's Floor' and 'Hold That FC'. Two very evenly matched teams that have been terrific this season, but it was league leaders 'Murder on Zidane's Floor' who were able to come away with the 2-1 win in the end. Barring a big goal swing they are now promoted to the Premier League for the new season but win next week against 'Swanky FC' and they confirm themselves as promoted and champions of Division One for this season, good luck to them!

Division Two's game of the evening resulted in a 4-3 win for 'Lads on Toure' over 'I Only Put Matip In'. A great game where both teams fought tooth and nail for the win and seven goals scored but the leagues bottom team just weren't able to get the goal, they needed to get the point on the night. With both teams having one eye on the new season now they will be looking to take the positives from this game and gain as many points as they can before the season ends. Congratulations 'Lenton Orient' who have been promoted after the games last night and like 'Murder on Zidane's Floor' will confirm themselves as Division Two champions if they win next week, well done!

The team of the week is given to 'Sporting Kford' as they were clinical in their game against 'Innocent Till Proven Gylfi' to go within one point of second place in the Division One table. They go into a game against 'Haven't Got a Kalou' next week looking to keep the pressure on the second placed team and gain promotion to the Premier League next season.
