STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 21ST FEBRUARY

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of very entertaining games of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance as expected.

The game of the evening in the Premier League was a tight game between 'Hold That FC' and 'Gangster's Allardyce' as a tight affair saw four goals scored and the points shared. In a league where anybody cane beat anybody it was a great game to watch. As we go into the final three weeks of the season it is all very close and the title is still up for grabs.

Division One also had plenty of exciting games, however the game that caught the eye has to be the clash between 'Swanky FC' and 'Lenton Orient'. Two very evenly matched teams that have been terrific this season, but it was league leaders 'Lenton Orient' who were able to come away with the win in the end. Congratulations are in order as the team have therefore confirmed they will finish in the top two come the end of the season with this result, will they take the title as well?

Division Two's game of the evening resulted in a 2-1 win for 'I Only Put Matip In' over 'Innocent Till Proven Gylfi'. A great game where both teams fought tooth and nail for the win and three goals scored but the leagues bottom team were able to come away with there first win of the season. Can they go on a run to finish the season and be full of confidence when the new season comes around? Next up 'FC Resonance'.

Because of this result the team of the week is given to 'I Only Put Matip In' as they were clinical in their game against 'Innocent Till Proven Gylfi' to go within three points of moving off the bottom of the table. As they play seventh next week a win would see them move one point behind with two to go, a good time to go on a run. 

A side note to everyone is that the league is fully aware of the spaces that have naturally opened up in the league, plans are being made for if the spaces are still there come the end of the season. In the meantime a FREE ENTRY offer has been placed on the league recruit new teams before the NEW SEASON and if any team recommends a team to the league and that team is proven to be reliable when they join a FREE GAME will be given to the team that recommended them.
