STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 8TH NOVEMBER

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of very entertaining games of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance as expected.

It was brilliant to welcome new team 'Borussia Teeth' who put in a fantastic display to start life in the league. We wish them all the best settling in and getting ready for the new season ahead.

The game of the evening in the Premier League was a tight game between 'Is It Half Time Yet?' and 'Troey's Rentboys' as six goals flew in, and some fantastic chances were created throughout. Although the game was 3-3 in the end and the points shared it was a brilliant watch for the neutral and was fun to see it play out. With two weeks to go the top two is still in site for 'Troey's Rentboys' but they are reliant on others slipping, '50 Shades of O'Shea' are a point away from another title as they beat their closest rivals to go three points clear at the top with two games left.

Division One also had plenty of exciting games, however the game that caught the eye was the 2-2 draw between 'Swanky FC' and league leaders 'Murder on Zidane's Floor'. A top-quality division summed up by a game like this as neither team could break the deadlock on the night with the new season fast approaching. Congratulations to 'Murder on Zidane's Floor' as they confirmed their place in the Premier League next season and will be crowned champions with another point next week against 'Workplace Products FC'.

Division Two's game of the evening resulted in a 2-1 win for 'OTR FC' over 'FC Resonance' where either team could have taken the win. In an end-to-end game it was 'OTR FC' who came away with the win and therefore climb to 5th after this week's games and will be looking to finish strong after another fun season. 'OTR FC' face newly crowned champions 'Lenton Orient' next week after they got the point, they needed to be promoted to Division One as champions, well done to them and good luck trying to finish the season unbeaten!

The team of the week is given to 'Rare FC' as they provided a dominant display as they ran out comprehensive winners on the night. They have really improved as the season has gone on so will be looking to build on this as the new season is on the horizon.
