SIXES AND SEVENS CHAMPIONS OF TEIGNMOUTH 6 A SIDE

We wrapped up another excellent season of 6 a side football last night in Teignmouth as our Tuesday night league saw new champions crowned. Sixes and Sevens are worthy winners of this seasons title, picking up 15 points from their 10 games and despite a last game defeat to 2nd placed Unathletico Madrid they weren't able to be caught, finishing 3 points clear at the top. Don's Ultras came 3rd after a 5 - 3 final game win over 3 For a Oner, Ben Beeson on form with all 5 goals to finish the season strongly. 2 points for Dawlish was enough to keep them in the division as they picked up a 5 - 1 win over new side NHS Allstars who will now play in Division One along with 3 for a Oner who also take the drop.

Coming up in their place as Division One champions are Ajax Trees Down who claim the title on goal difference, by one goal, ahead of Norfolk n Chance who also go up to the top flight for next season. It should have been a wider margin for the champions but defeat last night to Newton Wanderers meant that goal difference came into play. Ben Barrow's 5 goals for Newton nearly enough to hand the title to Norfolk but Ajax did just enough with Jamie Philpot's 2 goals proving crucial in their defeat. 5 - 3 the score in this one, well played both teams. Norfolk did all they could, winning 2 - 0 against Fillherwycombe who finish inside the bottom two along with Old Dogs who were beaten 3 - 0 by Paris Ganja Man.

Ben Beeson takes the golden boot trophy in the premier league with 21 goals for Don's Ultra's While Dickie Gregory claims the Division One prize with 14 goals for Norfolk n Chance, well played to both, your trophies will be with you very soon. As will the MVP prize for Finn Graham of Don's Ultras who picked up 6 MotM awards throughout a brilliant season for him.

So there we have it, Sixes and Sevens are champions and we look ahead towards the new season which gets underway next week, there is no break, we roll straight into a new season. Well done to all our teams, thank you to all the officials who at times had a difficult season but by eliminating teams that cause problems we continue to support the officials and ensure the future of the league is strong.

Good luck to everyone with the new season.
