WEEKLY NEWS FOR 05th APRIL

Good morning everyone,

Another great night of football up at John of Gaunt school! Some super competitive games and we may even have some contenders for goal of the month already!

Premier League
6 Offenders get the evening off to a great start with a hard fought 1 – 0 win over Wreckhead Rovers, James White putting in a great performance for the winners. I’d like to welcome Paul Boorman and his team Shunt Gunk Utd who made their debut last night against our current reigning Champions Borussia Munchenvadgeflaps! Proved to be a baptism of fire as Borussia ran out 2 – 0 winners with Tom Blackman putting in a Man of the Match display! FC Fusion got off the mark for the season with a 2 – 1 win over Bring Back Lloyds FC with Captain Myles Woodward getting the MVP in this one! Trow Utd played off against ABCDE FC and ran out 7 – 0 winners with Trow’s captain James Clifford putting in a display to be proud of, can they go on and claim the title? The final game in this division saw Bancoloana retain top spot with a convincing 4 – 1 over Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels! Morgan Allen walking away with Man of the Match!

Division 1
First game of the evening in Division 1 saw The Freshford Rejects put in a dominant display against Ivory Toast and coming out 3 – 0 winners with Kian Marklew being awarded MVP with what he said in his own words “Best weak foot shot of my life”. Could we have a contender for goal of the month here? Game of the night goes to an epic clash between Scoring like Sanogo and Brad Daw’s Class on Grass! Which ended 1 – 1 both keepers making multiple saves with Class on Grass’s goalkeeper making a first half save that David De Gea would have been proud of! Expected Toulouse got their season off the mark with a brilliant 4 – 0 over Fossil FC with Rob Maddox winning his second MVP award in two games! Great performance. Tinchy Sneijder keep themselves at the top of the table with a 5 – 0 win over Dixie Normous, Ben Deadman the stand out performer here. In final game saw McDons clash with Crips Outlawz FC with the home team running out 3 – 1 winners in what was a determined defensice performance from Crips with Warren Roberts marshalling the defence brilliantly! However, Owen Evans was the difference between the teams and was rightly award MVP.
