WEEKLY NEWS FOR 08th JUNE

Good morning everyone,

Thank you all for another great night of football up at John of Gaunt school! Always a pleasure to see so many people enjoy the game! Hope everyone is World Cup ready!

Premier League
Unfortunately 6 Offenders couldn’t make their scheduled fixture for the evening so thank you to the players who stood in and gave Bring Back Lloyds a competitive game. Defending Champions Borussia Munchenvadgeflaps were held to a 2 – 2 draw against a determined FC Fusion team with Andre Riberio putting in another man of the match performance! Shunt Gunk keep their hopes of survival alive with an impressive 2 – 0 win over Bancoloana. Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels put in a brilliant performance with a comprehensive 7 – 1 victory over an out of sorts ABCDE FC. James Clifford led from the front with an MVP performance for his team Trow Utd in their 7 – 3 win over White Horse to move them within 2 points of the leaders.

Division 1
Expected Toulouse started off the night with a solid 3 – 0 win over Dixie Normous. Mid table is very close in this division with five teams separated by a single point. The Freshford Rejects kept pressure on top spot with a hard fought 3 – 0 win over Fossil FC, Josh Keaveney earning himself man of the match in this one. Class on Grass ran out 2 – 1 winners against McDons FC in a hotly contested game, Nathan Taylor putting in a brilliant performance for the winners. Dan Townsend put in a captain’s performance for Ivory Toast in their comprehensive 10 – 0 win over Crips Outlaws FC which even saw Crips keeper Kevin Deadman make an outstanding penalty save! Tinchy Sneijder kept up their push for the title with a solid 3 – 0 win over a determined and defensively compact Scoring like Sonogo. Can anyone catch them before the end of the season?
