WEEKLY NEWS FOR 29th MARCH

Good morning everyone,

Last night got our new season off to a brilliant start! Looks like both divisions will be super competitive again this season. Apologies to Bancoloana as their opponents didn't turn up. I will contact their captain and confirm they will be in attendance next week or will remove them from the league.

Untamed Fitness Premier League
The first game of the evening saw the two newly promoted sides 6 Offenders & Bring Back Lloyds FC go head to head in a brilliantly played 1 - 1 draw! Matt Andrews, captain of 6 Offenders leading from the front with a Man of the Match performance. Matt Gile's Borussia Munchenvadgeflaps keep up their remarkable run with a 3 - 2 win over a determined FC Fusion! Myles Woodward putting in a class display for the losing team. ABCDE FC and Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels played out a solid 0 - 0 draw with the result being testament to both teams defenses. Isaac Garg staying solid between the posts for ABCDE FC and earning himself the MVP. Bancoloana's opponents failed to turn up but thank you to everyone who managed to give them a competitive game, Nathan Marshall continuing his push towards yet another Player of the Season award with man of the match and a goal in this one! I would like to welcome back former champions Trow Utd who got off to a winning start with a 1 - 0 win over newly promoted Wreckhead Rovers. Great game to watch and could have easily gone either way.

Division 1
Class on Grass & McDons FC got us under way with a 1 - 1 draw, both keepers had a busy evening and this result could have gone either way. Dixie Normous FC got off to a brilliant start with a hard fought 2 - 1 win over Expected Toulouse, Rob Maddox being awarded MVP in this one. New boys Tinchy Sneijder started life off in Division 1 with an epic 5 - 0 win over Scoring like Sanago who were also making their debut at the leagues. The Freshford Rejects & Fossil FC played out a great 0 - 0 draw with both teams having glaring opportunities to bag the win, Lee Ross was the outstanding performer on the night! Ivory Toast returned to winning ways with a solid 5 - 1 win over Crips Outlaws FC, score could have been a lot higher if it wasn't for a determined Crips defense led by Warren Roberts & Corey Tallentire.
