WEEKLY NEWS FOR 31st MAY

Good morning everyone,

The footballing gods must have been looking over us last night as we managed to completely miss any rain or thunderstorms! Got through another brilliant night of fixtures with some epic games played in both leagues!

Premier League
The first game of the evening saw a brilliant clash between 6 Offenders and Wreckhead over which saw it end 3 – 3 with Jake Sainsbury being awarded Man of the Match. Borussia Munchenvadgeflaps maintain their three-point lead at the top with a well-deserved 4 – 1 win over Shunt Gunk Utd, Jason Rose the outstanding performer. Bancoloana were held to a 2 – 2 draw by Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels in a well contested affair with Josh Edwards being awarded MVP. ABCDE FC couldn’t quite keep Trow Utd at bay as they chase top spot, well hotly contested game saw Trow Utd run out 2 – 0 winners. After his glaring miss last week Andre Ribeiro put in a performance to be proud of helping his FC Fusion side beat Bring Back Lloyds FC 4 – 1.

Division 1
Crips Outlaws FC slipped to another defeat in a competitive game against McDons, Junior Richardson leading from the front and bagging a brace for his team. Scoring like Sonogo recorded a solid 3 – 1 win over Class on Grass with Rob Clark again putting in a captain’s performance and Chris Giles knocking two in for the victors! Ben Deadman and his Tinchy Sneijder team continued their march to the Premier League with another double digit’s win, this time against Dixie Normous FC eventually running out 10 – 0 winners, this doesn’t tell the full story though as Brandon Davis putting in a performance to remember in goal for Dixie Normous making multiple top class saves and rightly being awarded Man of the Match. It was a night of captain’s performances with Nathan Snelling leading from the front for the Freshford Rejects in a 2 – 0 win over Ivory Toast in what I would say is one of the best 6 a side games I’ve had the pleasure to watch! The win keeps them in touching distance of top spot. The final game of the evening saw yet another captain’s performance with Rob Maddox being awarded MVP after scoring an absolute diamond for his team Expected Toulouse recording a 3 – 0 to end Fossil FC’s winning run!

Other News
Keep an eye out for the goal of the Month Competition for May on our national page! Kian Marklew won himself a football in April and I am certain we will have some candidates in this months poll as well!

Congratulations to the 8 players who correctly predicted that Real Madrid would run out 3 – 1 victors against Liverpool in the Champions League final, credit to Ryan Ford (Dixie Normous) who has now correctly guessed the scores in our last two competitions! Can he make it a Hat-trick and earn £10 off his next game?!?
