WEEKLY NEWS 23rd AUGUST

Good morning everyone, 

Again we had a fantastic night of football up John of Gaunt school, thank you for making the league as brilliant as it is. 

Premier League
We are still looking to fill 1 spot in the Premier League which means that Tinchy Sneijder were given a 5 - 0 victory which keeps their 100% record in this division intact! Thank you to Lindel Gilling and his boys filling in. Last seasons Champions keep up the pressure on the top with a comprehensive 6 - 0 victory over Bring Back Lloyds. Shunt Gunk & Bayer Alwayslusen played out an epic 3 - 3 draw which saw Shunt Gunk go 3 - 0 up early on but were unable to keep Aaron Thornton and his boys at bay for the second half. Beneteke Fried Chicken still look like contenders for this season title with a resounding 9 - 1 win over last seasons runners up FC Fusion. Largentina wont be making their debut in the league until 6th of September which gifted The Freshford rejects a 5 - 0 win which keeps them in touch with the leaders. Thank you for everyone who helped out to give them a competitive game.

Division 1
The evening got under way with a fiery game between Ivory Toast and Class on Grass which saw Brad Daw's team run out 2 - 0 winners which keeps them in touch with top of the table. Chuckle Vision FC still look favourites to take the title with another great display, recording a 5 - 0 win over Scoring like Sonogo. 6 Offenders keep up their push to bounce straight back up to the Premier league with a solid 4 - 0 win over a struggling McDons team. Isaac Jacob put in a brilliant performance for Expected Toulouse to see off White Horse 2 - 0. Game of the evening in Division 1 saw a brilliant clash between Fossil FC and Magpies FC, Gary Wilson putting in an epic shift for his team which in the end proved the difference with Fossil FC running out 3 - 2 winners.

Other News

We currently have one space remaining in our Premier League, any team who recommends a team to join will earn themselves either a FREE game or FREE kit, just get them to mention your team name when they sign up! 

Please remember that the full match fee has to be paid in full to the match night supervisor before kick off! It is the captains responsibility to organise this. If teams continue to pay short then they can have points deducted or even be kicked out of the league.
