WEEKLY NEWS FOR 05th JULY

Good morning everyone, 

Another beautiful evening at John of Gaunt school in Trowbridge with some fantastic football on display! 

Premier League
The evening got under way with a superbly contested game between Shunt Gunk Utd and Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels with both sides playing some brilliant football and chances being created at both ends! All of this culminated in a 4 - 4 draw with Shunt Gunk Utd's goalkeeper Luke Alford putting in another brilliant performance to earn MVP. Remember though you have to be registered on the system in order to gain entry to the competitions at the end of the season! The ABCDE FC boys couldn't make their fixture against reigning champions Borussia Munchenvadgeflaps but thank you to the Tinchy Sneijder boys for stepping up and giving the champions a super competitive game! White Horse FC gave Bring Back Lloyds a tough game on a hot evening which Lloyd's run out 2 - 1 winners in a game that could have gone either way! Fc Fusion Edged out a fiery Trow Utd 2 - 1 to draw level on points with second place. Credit to Myles Woodward and his team who handled themselves brilliantly throughout a fixture which got very heated at times. The new look Bancoloana team put in the team performance of the night with a resounding 11 - 2 win over 6 Offenders who with 3 games left to go in the season are in the relegation zone!  


Division 1
Division 1 started off with a well spirited and competitive game which saw Crips Fc go up against an under strength Dixie Normous team, thank you to everyone who filled in to make the game as competitive as it was, Dixie Normous eventually running out 3 - 1 winners here. The Freshford Rejects continue their march to the premier league with a 5 - 1 win over an out of form Class on Grass. Tinchy Sneijder will also be playing Premier League football next season and consolidated this with a 9 - 0 win over Expected Toulouse, Aaron Cockerill being awarded Man of the Match for this. The game of the night goes to the clash between Fossil FC & Scoring like Sonogo which saw Steve Cade's Fossil team run out 4 - 3 winners in a game that saw some brilliant goals! James Pike again winner MVP for his team. Ben Fielding led from the front with a brilliant and inspired Man of the Match performance which saw him bag a goal and his team win 3 - 1 against McDons and lift them to a very respectable third in the table.

Last night we had some discipline issues with some teams. The captain's will be spoken to as this is not something we welcome at our league. Everyone is there to enjoy themselves playing a sport they love and encouraging others to do so. Abuse will not be tolerated towards anyone, if this continues then the players will be banned from partcipating.
