WEEKLY NEWS FOR 15th OCTOBER

Happy Friday! Thank you all for another great night of football up John of Gaunt School in Trowbridge! Brilliant to see a full fixture list of competitive games!

Premier League
Tinchy Sneijder keep in touch with the leaders even after being held 0 - 0 by Shunt Gunk Utd in the first game of the evening, both keepers made some vital saves to preserve the stalemate! Last seasons champions climb up to third place with a solid 4 - 2 win over The Freshford Rejects, Blackman proving to be the difference between the sides! Bring back Lloyds take a huge step towards survival with a hard fought win over Shark Monkey's, Tom Graham earning himself a man of the match award while keeping the score to a very respectable 2 - 1. Club Tropicana Drinks FC continue their march up the table after a 2 - 1 agaisnt last seasons runners up FC Fusion. Leaders Benteke Fried Chicken failed to take advantage of the teams below them dropping points as they were held to a 3 - 3 draw against an in form Bayer AlwaysLusen, Nick Rideout the stand out player in this one, fantastic game of football to watch.


Division 1
Congratulations to captain Ben Martin and his Chuckle Vision boys for earning promotion to our Untamed Fitness Premier League, a solid 1 - 0 win over Ivory Toast clinched the all important points! Ivory Toast keeper Phil Johnson putting an epic display to frustrate the champions elect for so long! Owen Evans put in a fantastic performance for McDons to hold off Fossil FC 2 - 1, both teams had multiple chances to take the points. Scoring like Sonogo climb into second place with a great performance against Expected Toulouse which saw them run out 2 - 1 winners! Can they keep hold of the second promotion spot going into the last few games of the season? Jake Paxon lead from the front with an outstanding performance for 6 Offenders who ran out 9 - 0 winners against Madeline Milan FC. Final game of the evening saw a hotly contested local derby between Class on Grass & Magpies FC, Glynn Roberts putting in another outstanding performance for his team but it wasn't enough to hold off Class on Grass who went on the seal the points with a 6 - 2 win!
