WEEKLY NEWS FOR 21st JUNE

Good morning everyone, 

Another beautiful evening for football up John of Gaunt school! Some great football on display, certainly better than Argentina’s display!

Premier League
Reigning Champions Borussia Munchenvadgeflaps put on another brilliant show against 6 Offenders running out 6 – 1 winners, Tom Blackman showing his quality with another MVP performance. Trow Utd kept up the pressure on the leaders with a 5 – 1 win over Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels only two points separating the top two now! FC Fusion are still in with a chance of bagging the title after Andre Ribeiro put in his third Man of the Match performance this season to help his side to a 3 – 1 win over ABCDE FC! If only he was registered on the system! Shunt Gunk Utd climb out of the relegation places with a hard fought 2 – 1 win over White Horse, Harry Hamlin the stand out performer in this one. Bring Back Lloyds took on a new look Bancoloana team in a brilliant game which saw both teams display a brilliant standard of football eventually ending in a 2 – 2 draw! Grant Gunning awarded MVP.

Division 1
The Freshford Rejects look certain to get promoted now after a 3 – 1 win over Dixie Normous FC with goal of the month winner Kian Marklew putting in an outstanding performance for his side! Scoring like Sonogo edged past McDons FC 2 – 1 with John Horwood earning himself the MVP award for this one. Class on Grass have lost more ground on the top two after falling 4 – 0 to Fossil FC, James Pike putting in a great shift for the winners! Tinchy Sneijder continue their march to the title with a comprehensive 7 – 0 win over Ivory Toast. Ben Deadman’s team all but secured promotion with this win. Expected Toulouse got revenge on Crips FC after their 3 – 0 loss earlier in the season. Issac Jacob helping his side to a well-deserved 5 – 1 win which now sees Crips 7 points adrift at the bottom and looking certain for the wooden spoon.

Other News

Well done to Dan Fielding and Harry Thornton who correctly guessed that Tunisia v England would finish 1 – 2 and earning themselves money off their respective fixtures! Remember to keep an eye out for this Sunday’s score predictor!

Please remember that the fixtures for Thursday 28th June have been cancelled so we can all support our boys at the World Cup #ComeOnEngland
