ALL TEAMS PLEASE READ!

We need to start the weekly update with some negative news but hopefully it can produce a positive future....

On Monday night, in the last game of the night, we had an incident that ended in a broken and dislocated ankle. We can all agree that the tackle that caused the terrible injury was purely accidental and there was no malicious intend to hurt the player but unfortunately these things just sometimes happen in football when emotions take over. This doesn't take away from the horrific injury that was suffered from a simple SLIDE TACKLE. The player responsible was of course sent off and has been punished for his actions and has completely accepted his wrong doing. This really is a great reminder to us all that the rule NO SLIDE TACKLING isn't just another annoying rule that has no purpose, its very much there to protect us from these horrific injuries and hopefully everyone can learn from it going forward!

I want to make something clear- you very much play at your own risk when playing 6 a side anywhere, so this is very much a one time thing. This being said, I personally feel very sad for the injured player, who is self employed and has just come off furlough, so will be unable to work and as this is a very rare injury that we've never witnessed before, I will be doing my best to help him by setting up a go fund me page to try and raise a little bit of money for him to take the financial strain off the issue. If anyone would be generous enough to donate for him, i'm sure he would be hugely grateful, as would i. Lots of our players are also self employed, so im sure many of us can sympathise with him, even if you can only afford £1, it all helps and you would all be ever grateful if this for you instead, so i will share the go fund me page to our Facebook group!

Let's now move on and have some more positive news from Monday night!

PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM OF THE WEEK!

2 Girls 1 Klopp will claim it this week. When a newly promoted team win 10-1 in the top division and go 2nd in the league, its impossible to not award them for such impressive form. George Farthing and his players started the season badly, losing their first game but have since turned that around with back to back victories, one of which came against one of the top teams in the division, so a very impressive start from these boys!

PREMIER LEAGUE MOTM AWARDS!

Ryan Payne - 2 Girls 1 Klopp - Ryan was incredibly on Monday night! He was at the centre of everything and he was everywhere. Everything went through him and he completely bossed the game!

DIVISION ONE TEAM OF THE WEEK!

It has to go the Tekkerslovakia! They had a few players missing tonight, so this was a very makeshift team, a makeshift team that REALLY did the job. This fixture is always their most completive, with both teams very much looking forward to it as a game viewed as winnable by both! This season is very much proving to be their best yet, with 4 points on the board, sitting mid table and only 3 games played, is this the season they hold their own? Excellent performance from them to win the game 5-2 and very convincingly done!

DIVISION ONE MOTM AWARDS!

Robson Payne - Six offenders - Robson would've been fuming had he not won MOTM on Monday night. 5 goals to his name and running riot in the attacking 3rd, very much deserved with a dominate performance!

Charlie Gordon - Man Chest Hair united - Charlie is very much at his best with the ball at his feet, a very low centre of gravity and just weaves through players whenever he pleases, plus 2 goals to complete the performance!

Brett Drumond - Pick n Mix fc - Brett had a superb game on Monday night between the sticks! His team lost 5-2 but he really was vital for keeping it competitive in a match that both teams were really there to win! A stand in goalkeeper that really made the difference!
