Texas Oldham and The lampposts are impressive!

The thunder storm that was planning to spoil the show last night decided to behave itself and leave us alone, so thankfully we were able to enjoy another evening of 6 a side football at The Vyne School....

TEAM OF THE WEEK!

There were a few teams this week that could feel annoyed at not being awarded team of the week, as there really were a few top, top performances from multiple teams. This week though we look at strong performances and feel Texas oldham came out on top with a 5-3 win. Of course any win is important, but this week was a really big win! A win this week ensured these guys closed the gap on the league leaders to just 3 points after they suffered a narrow defeat. Its very unlikely, but with 2 games to go and only 3 points behind, the title is still mathematically available. Surely they couldn’t, could they?...

Another week with no MOTM awards to award this week due to a lack of player cards available from our teams to receive them. Come on guys, you are missing out on the individual awards at the end of the season...

DIVISION ONE TEAM OF THE WEEK!

There can only be one worthy winner this week for the bottom division and of course that has to go to The Lampposts FC! This was a game that was only expected to go one way and that didn’t involve the league leaders losing... Cavan Cook and his team really came out to win this game and it showed massively! They went 1-0 down very quickly but after a second shot was saved brilliant by the keeper, they really went to war and battled to a very impressive and convincing 7-3 win.

DIVISION ONE MOTM AWARDS!

Liam Cook - Astroworldies - Liam goes back level with his main rival in the golden boot race to 26 and tops the player of the season chart as well, all in one game! That left foot is very reliable!

Robbie Gorman - First touch fc - Robbie had a great game, bossing the middle of the park and being centre stage of most important moments in the game, which of course got him a well deserved goal!
