Abingdon Monday 5 a side round up!

ABINGDON MONDAY 5 A SIDE ROUND UP

We had a few teams away this week but it didn't dampen the mood on another excellent night of 5 a side at Tilsley Park as we start to enjoy the lighter evenings. The Division 1 title race particularly is going the distance, here's a look at all the results:

PREMIER LEAGUE

Massive Irons confirmed the Premier League title with a 10-2 victory over second place AB's All White's which takes them five points clear with just one game to play. There were two big games at the bottom with the relegation places now confirmed after Royal Madrid lost a thriller 6-5 against Backstreet Moyes, this coupled with Pathetico Madrid's 4-1 win against Goals Aloud see's Royal Madrid go down with Goals Aloud.

DIVISION ONE

The Div 1 title and promotion race is going to the wire with 4 teams all still in with a chance with only one point separating them. Last night leaders Matip went down 3-2 to The Sticky Bandits while second place The Village fell to a 5-1 defeat to Athletico Flint. Cunning Stunts picked up a 5-0 win in the other game with Sporting John away this week.

DIVISION TWO

Champions FC Copenbadly had a 5-0 win this week with Wantage Washouts away. Substandard Liege sealed promotion and the runners up spot with a 5-3 away win at Intayanan. In the other match FC Unts narrowly beat Expected Toulouse 4-3, Sam Fielden and Tom Homer both with braces.

DIVISION THREE

Sluts N Bolts rose to the top of Div 3 after a 5-0 win due to Wanyama's being away. They are now level on points with Soggy Busquets with Busquets also away this week. Survey Monkey's remain third after a 4-1 win at Hardly Athletic.

DIVISION FOUR

BeanzBurgzBosh put themselves in with an excellent chance of promotion as they won 7-2 at home to Bacon Mbappe, Sam McQueen with a hat-trick. They are now level on nine points with second place Destined Toulouse who weren't able to play this week. Leaders and champions Fredericks won their game 10-5 against Rhythm Of Van Dijk. 

Thank you to all our teams and to Dean and our referee's at Tilsley Park. Good luck to everyone in your final game of the season next week. The new season won't kick off until the 15th May due to the 1st and 8th May being bank holiday's.
