Abingdon Monday 5 side results!

Here's a run through all the results from our Abingdon Monday 5 a side league at Tilsley Park. We welcomed new team Massive Irons to the league while a couple of teams were away this week but will be returning next week.

New team Massive Irons went straight into the Premier League and looked more than comfortable with a 5-1 win over Green Goblins. Runaway leaders Ivory Toast had a great game with Fruity Spartans which they ended up edging 7-6. In Div 1 we had a couple of teams away so it was points matches all round with AB's now with a 5 point lead over Unnamed at the top.

In Div 2 Survey Monkey's produced an excellent performance to defeat second place FC Unts 9-7 while leaders Hardly Athletic won 8-2 against Champagne Super Rovers. Sporting John are only a point outside the promotion places as they sealed a 7-3 home win against Sevilla Depression.

What a performance by Intayanan to push Div 3 leaders Scumbag FC all the way in a tight game that was settled with a single goal as Scumbag picked up the victory 1-0. The Sticky Bandits won a 9 goal thriller with Substandard Liege 5-4 while Goals Aloud won 12-3 against Cunning Stunts.

Finally The Village who are clearly a bit to strong for Div 4, won 18-3 against McFatty's to make it 8 wins from 8. Expected Toulouse also edged towards promotion as they beat Matip 3-1 while FearlessDuck sealed their first win of the season with a 7-3 victory over Relegation Rovers.
