Abingdon Monday 5 a side approaches halfway point!

Let's take a look at all the results from around the divisions at our Abingdon Monday 5 a side league from Tilsley Park.

The Premier League couldn't get much closer with 2nd to 7th place separated by just one point. However there are clear leaders with a 3 point gap between them and second. They are Fruity Spartans who managed to claim a 6-5 victory last night in the tightest of matches with Coopers Troopers. The win means whatever their result next week they will be top of the table at Christmas. In second place are SWXI who defeated new boys Sex Drugs and Charlton Cole 10-1. In other matches Hadland Rovers got back to winning ways with an excellent 6-4 win against Club Tropicana Drinks FC while Hardly Athletic put in an impressive performance to beat Victorious Secret 6-1.

In Division 1 Young Guard cannot be stopped as they made it 6 wins in a row with a 10-4 victory over KanteFitMyWillian. FCUOB remain 4 points adrift in second after a tight 4-3 win over Cunning Stunts. Basically Barca are level on points with them after they took the win in their match with Substandard Liege 4-1. Finally Savills move up to 4th position after a great game with Class On Grass which they ran out 7-5 victors in.

We have new leaders in Div 2 as Expected Toulouse dropped a point in their match with Norfolk N Clue as the sides shared a 1-1 draw. This gave the sides below them a chance to go top and Unprotected Cesc did with a points match win with Survey Monkeys being away this week. Abingdonnys also won and are only second on goal difference, they defeated Tass 8-5. Ivory Toast also picked up a points match win in Div 2 as Pique Blinders were away.

Thank you to all the teams and refs. The Monday league is on next week on the 21st December then we will return on Monday 4th January after Christmas.
