Club Tropicana Drinks looking good Abingdon Monday 5 a side

Another chilly night at Tilsley Park as all 16 teams took to the pitches as we reached the halfway point of the Abingdon Monday 5 a side season!

At the top of the Premier league it is Club Tropicana Drinks who continued their impressive form this season and remain the only team in the Prem with a 100% record. However they were given a tough test by FCUOB who pushed them all the way. Tropicana eventually emerging with a 8-5 victory. Last seasons champions New Era fell a little further behind the leaders as they went down to a narrow 4-3 loss to Coopers Troopers who move up to 3rd. The two other matches also had just single goals in them as Scorgasm defeated Substandard Liege 2-1 while last seasons Div 1 champions Victorious Secret beat Hadland Rovers 3-2.

Onto Div 1 and we have another side with a 100% record at the halfway point. That side are Bunch of Bench Warmers who only just kept it in tact with a 3-2 win over Savills. Hardly Athletic are 2 points behind the leaders still as they beat Survey Monkey in a 9 goal thriller 5-4. The other two matches were more one sided affairs as Cunning Stunts won 8-1 against Pique Blinders while Crixus beat Chubby Goons 7-0.
