Champions Ye Mon FC reclaim top spot in 5 a side Prem

Thank you to all teams for attending the last round of fixtures at our Abingdon Wednesday night 5 a side league.

In the Premier League it was Champions Ye Mon that reclaimed top spot on goal difference as they saw off Slough Posse 12-3. Saky Thirds still have their 100% record in tact but drop to second despite the 5-4 win over Ale Stars. Abingdons FC and Binos both had points match wins this week. We welcome Trade FC to the league for the start of January however we still have one place left so get your team signed up now for a 8th January start.

In Div 1 Hardly Athletic are the only team to win both of their games as they defeated Rafacakes 4-3 to go top. In another tight match The Mighty Ducks picked up their first win of the season coming out of the game with Fatzio with a 5-4 victory. The other matches in the league saw The Pie Eaters win against You've Been Tangoed 4-1 while Murder On Zidanes Floor bounced back from a 9-1 loss last week to Rafacakes to win 9-1 this week against BTEC Moscow.

We move onto Div 2 where the majority of the new teams are battling it out to rise up the divisions. Cumnor Veterans look to be a strong side capable of moving on up the divisions as they go top for Christmas with a 13-1 against new boys Oscillators. Also looking good are FC Hog who had a 4-1 win over Chamakh My Pitch Up and sit second. Another side to pick up two wins from two matches are DWFC who beat Only Just Put Matip In 5-4. Finally to round things off there was a high scoring game as Shakter Last Night secured the points with a 10-6 win against Sin Bin FC.

Thank you to all teams and see you on Wednesday the 8th January. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. As mentioned earlier in the report we do still have one space left in the league for a new team. If interested contact Rich on 07969731086 or register for FREE at the link below:
