Congratulations to Ye Mon, Bad Kompany & Shaktar

As the dust settles on another season at Abingdon we roll out the congratulations to the winners as the relegated sides look to a fresh start next season. Whatever the outcome of your season it's great to be out there playing football in what has been a terrible year for many. 2020 can do one!! Roll on the new season, Christmas and 2021.

We start by congratulating our Premier League winners Ye Mon FC who have consistently fought for the title on a Wednesday night year in year out at Abingdon and have claimed back the title they just missed out on last season. They rounded off their season in style with a 11-0 win over Chubby Alonsos. Abingdons FC have had a great season too and finish runners up, they picked up a point in their last game, a 3-3 draw with a strong Hagdons team.

What a title race it's been in Div 1 as three teams battled it out right until the end last night with only two promotion spots available and one trophy on offer. With two of the sides facing each other something had to give and its congratulations that go to Bad Kompany who started the night in third place before defeating the leaders Bayern Neverlosen to jump to the top and claim the title. Unfortunately for Bayern this meant a win for FC Hog and not only would they be knocked off the top they would also drop to third. FC Hog did their job in their game and claimed the second promotion spot with a 10-2 victory over The Mighty Ducks. It's hard luck on Bayern but that's football for you. The trophy is yours to win next season!

In Div 2 matters had already been decided so congratulations go to Shaktar Last Night on winning the title, simply unstoppable this season and they showed why in their final match as they defeated third place Kipsta 9-5. Spread The Play also follow Shaktar into Div 1 as runners up, they picked up a point match win last night with FC Spangled being away.

Thank you to all the captains, players and the refs Warren, Dean, Dean, Andy, Alan and Ian on another fantastic season. The new fixtures will be out today. Look forward to seeing you back next week for the start of the new season. We will play week one next week 16th Dec then there will be a break for Christmas until 6th Jan.
